Conservation and Territory
ACT accompanies the processes of constitution and expansion of indigenous reserves and supports the formulation of land management plans, especially in buffer zones of the National Natural parks.
- Purchase of properties of economic and cultural significance for the indigenous communities.
- The Inga community of Caquetá now is the owner of a property named “The Guacharos Cave” and the “Macaw Salt Lick”, an area of great cultural importance.
- The Ingas of the Caquetá also linked their reserves to the Alto Fragua Indi Wasi National Park, creating a biocultural conservation corridor in order to continue their conservation of the great biodiversity of the region.
- The Siona indigenous community linked its reserves to the La Paya National Park, creating another biocultural conservation corridor.
